City dominate 0-1 win at Haverhill

The u13 Eja boys made the trip to Haverhill for a league match. The boys enjoyed the use of the main stadium and good facilities. City started well and on 10 mins Callum could have scored the opener, but his shot was saved.
City did score on 15 mins when a good through ball by Jack found Reece down the middle who has enough time to take 2 touches before easily scoring from close range. 0-1. Haverhill failed to trouble the solid defence or even get through midfield in the first half, and by halftime City should have been 3 or 4 up. A double save chance from James, and chances for Jack, Joel and Callum all really could have been converted.
At half time all 4 subs were brought on. Haverhill did create a few more chances in the 2nd half, but nothing that really troubled the defence or Cam in goal. James, Ed and Callum had 2nd half chances but City were unable to finish the game off and the game ended 0-1.
Not the best of games and finishing needs to be worked on, but positives are the chances are being created, through midfield, the clean sheet for the defensive players , the goal and of course 3 points.

Round 5 of county cup next week v league rivals Maldon and Tiptree. Hopefully more chances will be converted next week.
