U13s EJA boys win 6-0 in 2nd round of County Cup

The U13 EJA boys eventually saw off Galleywood in the county cup. After a 40 minute delay due to the ref not finding the venue the boys lined up for the first time without the injured Max who will be out for 4 weeks. Charlie was also unavailable but the squad of 15 did the job to progress to round 3. Galleywood had City rattled for parts of the first half and Cam was needed to make a double save and Hayden did some good last gasp defending. City took the lead via the "up town" combination of Billy Joel as Billy crossed and Joel scuffed his right foot shot into the goal. 1-0. Minutes later George played an easy ball to Luke S who made space for the goal of the game scoring from 25 yards high into the goal. The half ended 2-0.
4 subs came on at halftime and all impressed. 10 mins into the half Alex combined with Brandon who skipped past 2 defenders and placed his shot well to score. 3-0.
3 soon became 4 when Luke S slid the ball to Kyran and his deflected shot looped into the goal. 4-0.
At 4-0 the management trialled a few boys in slightly different positions as more players were rolled on and off.
Kyran replayed the favour minutes later as he passed to Luke S who calmly took the ball round the keeper and blasted into the open net. 5-0. Galleywood did have a chance to score but Cam made a brilliant save tipping the ball onto the post. City wrapped up the win with a 6th as Kyran passed to Sam who laid of the ball for Brandon to place in.
A good win and Kyran and Brandon ran close for the Motm award but for his battling determination goals and assists Motm went to Luke S.
