Strong Felixstowe and Walton boys outplay City u13s

The new u13 Eja boys played the first home game v a strong Felixstowe and Walton side that had already beaten Woodbridge on day 1 of the season 3-0. Felixstowe started well and after 10 mins were 1-0 up as the strong forward skipped by Gabe at left back got past Max and calmly scored for a 1-0 lead. After 20 mins the same attacking player had swapped sides and this time got the better of Luke S and made space to curl a shot high into the corner of the goal. City were making a few chances and when George met a Tennie corner with his head on 25 mins it looked like City were going to score their first goal of the season. George's header went just wide. Minutes later james was brought down on the edge of the box. Charlie stepped up and curled a delightful free kick that went in off the post to get back into the game. There was still time in the half for a good save from Cam and Tennie had little choice in picking up a yellow card for the team as the Dangerous Felixstowe forward looked like he was in for a first half Hatrick. Tennie was rightly yellow carded.
The half ended 2-1.
Gabe and Sam came off for Hayden and Reece at halftime but City were soon another behind as the strong skipper in midfield lost Billy and shot low into the corner past Cam.
Minutes later the game was lost as Tennie and George tried to clear from the back but lost possession and in trying to get it back clipped a Felixstowe forward for a penalty that was easily converted by the skipper. 4-1
There were a number of substitutions and lots of possession for Felixstowe but the game rather faded for City and the game ended 1-4.
